Sanctuary Promise Training & Immigration Policy Resource Sharing

United Way of Central Oregon is putting on a  free, in-person Sanctuary Promise Training & Immigration Policy Resource Sharing event on Friday, February 14th from 10 am - noon at the First Presbyterian Church in Bend (located at 230 NE 9th St). Right now we already have 66 people signed up, which is great!

Here is some information from the invitation that went out. If you have anyone in Central Oregon that you think would be a good fit for attending the training, please feel free to forward this to them. 

What:

Join us for an informative training session and resource-sharing forum focused on Oregon's Sanctuary Promise Act and the evolving federal immigration policy landscape. 

Who:

This event is designed for individuals working or volunteering in schools, healthcare facilities, places of worship, social services establishments, disaster/emergency response sites, and public gathering spaces.

  • Please RSVP by noon on 2/13 HERE
  • Include your organization and/or reason for attending.
  • RSVPs will be checked at the door prior to admittance.

  • It is our intention to create a safe space for the sharing of this information and we are counting on all of you to help ensure that only those who come ready to learn in a non-disruptive manner and utilize this information to benefit our immigrant community members attend.
